Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

See that they refer to leaving our position in Adam and joining with others in the Church, or body of Christ. Rejoice that all believers are in Christ and as such, have the power to obey the many commands given to us that refer to our new spiritual life.

Are you a part of Team Adam or Team Church? Listen to this lesson to learn that when anyone trusts Christ as their Savior they switch from being in Adam to being in the Church, which is the body of Christ. Hear what we were like when we were born and see that the corruption was getting worse. Then when we trusted in Christ, we were born again and are now part of the Church. Everything is new. In order to grow to spiritual maturity we need to have our thinking renewed and that can only happen as we walk by means of the Holy Spirit and learn what the Scriptures reveal about our new life.

Passage: Ephesians 4:17-21
Duration: 45 mins 23 secs
After salvation, then what? Listen to this lesson to hear a blueprint for two paths you can take. One is to continue as you did as an unbeliever, living by the dictates of the sin nature. It leads to spiritual death in this life and at the Judgment Seat of Christ you receive no rewards. The best choice is to choose to live by means of the Holy Spirit. This involves reading the Word of God, studying, internalizing, memorizing, and applying it to decisions you make. It includes confession of sin on a regular basis and results in spiritual maturity and rewards. Each day you have this decision to make so choose wisely.
