Cruise ship in trouble: Mass illnesses, blackouts, missing passengers. These stories have filled the headlines the last few years. Listen to this lesson to learn about the Apostle Paul's danger-filled, life-threatening cruise on his way to Rome as a prisoner. See how Paul points out that disaster is ahead as they face rough weather and strong headwinds. The crew ignores his warning and sets out. Encountering a typhoon, they frantically try to secure the ship. Hear how Paul relies on God's revelation to him and the doctrine he knows. Learn to apply the Word of God to your own experiences and adapt to changing circumstances even in desperate times.
2014 Chafer Theological Seminary Bible Conference

Series: 2014 Chafer Theological Seminary Bible Conference
Duration: 1 hr 12 mins 4 secs

We in the Dispensational tradition have received a rich heritage in Bible Exposition, yet in recent year’s evangelicalism as a whole has not acknowledged its contribution. Thus it is my desire to develop the foundation laid and in so doing highlight features in biblical interpretation that will enhance an expository ministry.

Lewis Sperry Chafer produced a classic multivolume Dispensational systematic theology. Building upon what is distinctive, I want to propose a narrative form of this biblical theology. It is my conviction that a historic-narrative form is to be preferred over the systematic form to highlight what is distinctive in dispensationalism. That distinctive contribution rests in God’s progressive revelation. As God spoke creation into existence, so God speaks to his chosen partners in history as his goals are fulfilled in the progress of revelation. The narrative features God’s governance through his Word and his chosen stewards who manage his revelation in the sequence of dispensations.

Passage: Job 1:1-12
Series: God’s Protection in Any Crisis
Duration: 56 mins 19 secs
How could a loving God allow a vicious virus to be causing suffering around the world? If this thought has crossed your mind listen to this message to hear a number of reasons why God allows human suffering. Understand that while God is sovereign, He allows free will for mankind that can result in suffering and chaos. Hear the ways pagan unbelievers try to explain suffering and see how this crisis offers opportunities for Christians to minister to others and explain God’s faithful, loyal love to them.
