What is a Mini-Series?
A Mini-Series is a small subset of lessons from a major series which covers a particular subject or book. The class numbers will be in reference to the major series rather than the mini-series.

Tag Index

Each Bible class is assigned a few keywords or phrases called tags. This is simply an index or listing of all those tags. It is not an exhaustive index built from all the words in the titles, descriptions and transcripts. For that, you need to use the search function on the main menu.

You can run but you can’t hide from the battle of the ages raging in the world. Listen to this lesson to learn two categories of casualties in this warfare. See how Jesus emphasized discipleship for all believers which means to become a student of the Word of God and make it our highest priority even when we face persecution. Learn why people hate Christians and the awards and benefits for overcomers at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Believe that when our agenda is God’s agenda, He promises to always take care of us.

Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 53 mins 40 secs
What does it mean to commit your life to Christ? Listen to this lesson to see that this is not a command found in the Word of God but that all believers are called to be disciples. Find out about the responsibilities and challenges of discipleship as taught by Jesus. Understand the distinction between directives to unbelievers on how to be saved and directives to those who are believers on how they are to grow and mature. See that believers who are disobedient are under divine discipline here on earth and will suffer loss of eternal rewards but will not lose their salvation.

Passage: Matthew 8:1-9:38
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 55 mins 23 secs
If you appreciate true accounts about famous people, you'll enjoy the wealth of information Matthew offers about the life of Jesus Christ. Listen to this lesson to learn how Christ fulfilled what was prophesied in the Old Testament about the coming Messiah. Gain an overview of the significance of the order Matthew chose to list Jesus' miracles. Understand the appeal Jesus made to His followers to become disciples and how He detailed the cost involved. See that for us, as well as for the people who lived in that day, discipleship means being willing to sacrifice everything, including our comfort and our security. The mobile app that Dr. Dean mentioned at the beginning of the class is called Bible.is and is available for free from the Apple Apps Store or Google Play Store. It offers the spoken Bible in over 800 languages.

Passage: Matthew 5:7
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 40 mins 54 secs
Me? Be kind, merciful, and forgiving even to hateful, mean-spirited people? That's not possible. Listen to this lesson to learn that the standards of righteousness Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount are impossible under our own efforts but are applicable to everyone who would be a committed believer depending on God's power. See how Jesus displayed mercy when He was on earth in a culture that was cruel and unforgiving. Note the distinctions between grace and mercy and how they relate to God's amazing attributes.
