Passage: 1 Chronicles 15:1-16 & Genesis 14
Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 8 mins 14 secs

Are you impressed with someone who is willing to stand up for what they believe no matter the cost? Listen to this lesson to learn that it’s the content of what we believe that makes it meaningful, not just standing up for it. See the importance of teaching children the gospel. Learn when Abraham proclaimed the name of the Lord and gained many people on his side. Find out the difference between positional and experiential righteousness.

During this class Dr. Dean mentioned a blog by Scott Aniol. You can view it here.

Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:21 & Isaiah 53:5-6
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 46 mins 6 secs
Are you ready to explore the astonishing substitutionary atonement of Christ on the Cross? Listen to this lesson to learn that Christ’s death on the Cross was the payment for our sins and the concept was first introduced in the Bible when God clothed Adam and Eve in animal skins. See how we can do nothing to gain fellowship with God because we are unrighteous, but the Lord Jesus Christ cleansed us through His sacrifice. While Christ paid the price for the three problems facing the human race, it is only when we trust in Him as our Savior that these solutions are applied to us personally.

Passage: Colossians 3:18-21 & Ephesians 5:25-33
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 1 hr 2 mins 14 secs
The pattern for a husband’s love for his wife is a model of Christ’s love for His church. There is comparison also to Christ’s relationship of love for the Father and the love a husband has for his own body. Apart from cultural, transitory, romantic love, this is a broader, eternal, mental attitude love grounded in the character of the one who loves and his knowledge of God. Like God’s covenant love for Israel, a husband’s love will not be disrupted by circumstances. There is an element of substitution in the comparison of a husband’s love to the sacrifice of Christ for His church. Learn the definition of love and how it functions objectively only when it conforms to God’s intention in scripture.

Passage: Romans 5:8-12
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 59 mins 50 secs
What do justification, reconciliation, and hope have in common. In this class we learn how Paul connects these to the cross and the so great salvation we have "in Christ." Only by living in light of this reality can we "be saved," i.e., be delivered from God's discipline and judgment in time ("wrath").
