Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Passage: Matthew 28:1-11 & Mark 16:1-11
Series: The Last Week of Jesus (2019)
Duration: 59 mins 43 secs

What are the staggering implications of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ? Listen to this lesson to hear eight reasons why this historical event matters in everything we do. Find out that death was never a part of God’s plan for the human race but is a result of choosing Satan’s way. Hear about Lazarus whose coming back to life shows Jesus’ authority over life and death. Find out that Christ’s victory is our victory over death, too. Understanding the resurrection helps us to see that we are to serve the Lord as long as He is giving us breath.

This lesson also includes Luke 24:1-10 and John 20:1-8.
