What is a Mini-Series?
A Mini-Series is a small subset of lessons from a major series which covers a particular subject or book. The class numbers will be in reference to the major series rather than the mini-series.

Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Passage: Romans 10:1-4
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 4 mins 36 secs
Are we puppets being manipulated to bring about God's plan for history or can we freely make our own choices? Listen to this lesson to learn that God is powerful enough to allow us free will but is nevertheless always bringing about His plans. Follow along to see that in spite of a pause because of the nation Israel's spurning of the Messiah, God's plan for them is still on track. Listen to a quick assessment of what has been covered so far in Romans and learn the difference between salvation and justification with the emphasis on righteousness.

Passage: Colossians 2:11-15
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 47 mins 55 secs
Since Pastor Dean has been out of the country for a few weeks, this lesson takes the time to go back and review what we had learned so far on the profound significance Paul places on forgiveness in Colossians 2:11-15.

As we are reminded of when forgiveness takes place, we also learn of the four different types or areas of forgiveness. This lesson is important for a clear understanding of forgiveness all mankind has in Jesus' work on the cross, but also in how believers are to apply forgiveness in our personal walk.

Passage: Romans 4:13-25
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 3 mins 25 secs
As we wrap up Paul's explanation of justification, we also take a look at what he had to say in Philippians 3. Are we made internally righteous? Does justification change us? This lesson reiterates what we have been studying in Romans 4 - that justification is always apart from works and is through faith alone.

Passage: Romans 3:14-20
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 4 mins 30 secs
In our study of God's righteousness and how we get it, Paul talks about the law. What law is he referring to, and what exactly does "works of the law mean"?

In this lesson we begin to look at what justification means, and as we get into vs. 21, God makes a legal declaration - what is it?

Passage: Romans 2:25-3:5
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 1 mins 24 secs
Is there a sufficient moral pathway to God that a man can take on his own? As we continue in our study of Romans, Paul again reminds us how God demonstrates His Righteousness with regard to the human race. In this lesson we learn about the significance of circumcision and the difference between a circumcised and uncircumcised heart.

Passage: Colossians 1:21-23
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 48 mins 41 secs
How do we “continue in the faith”, and what does that mean? Paul reminds us that reconciliation gives us hope. But what is the Biblical view of hope? It is a conviction of reality, an expectation of our destiny.

In this lesson we again are reminded that as believers we are “future oriented”, living for the future.
