Passage: 2 Peter 3:10 & Isaiah
Series: 2 Peter (2019)
Duration: 1 hr 10 mins 35 secs
The prophetic writers of the Old Testament had much to say about the Day of the Lord. Today Bible scholars differ on when this period is but all the writers describe a time when God brings mass death on the planet and horrific events occur both on earth and in the heavens. Hear a variety of terms the writers use and realize that just as today, few believed what the Word of God was predicting.

Passage: 2 Peter 3:10
Series: 2 Peter (2019)
Duration: 59 mins 29 secs
Are the heavens and earth going to be completely destroyed by fire and created anew or is it more of devastation and a renovation that will take place? Listen to this lesson to learn about two important competing views by well-respected biblical scholars on this issue and hear the rationales behind each of the views that will shed light on them. See if “in that day” is a synonym for “Day of the Lord” in the passages where these phrases are used in both the Old and New Testaments.

Passage: 2 Peter 3:13-15
Series: 2 Peter (2019)
Duration: 1 hr 5 mins 6 secs

What did the Apostle Peter challenge believers to remember at the end of this epistle? Listen to this lesson to hear Peter’s concluding remarks on how, in light of the false teachers and the knowledge of what is ahead of us in God’s timetable, we are to live. See how we are to be eagerly pursuing spiritual growth. Find out the importance of establishing our faith so we cannot be shaken by the current culture we engage with every day.

This Bible class includes a short presentation by missionary Scot Ullrich at the end. The slides that Scot presented are available in the notes link below.
