Colossians (2011)

Passage: Colossians 2:6-7
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 47 mins 3 secs
The culture of Asia Minor was known for its different philosophies and a tolerance that different religions were accepted within the culture as having equal value. In modern day 21st century society, we experience the same thing. Yet, the Bible clearly teaches that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of exclusivity. So how then are Christians to "think", living in such a pagan culture? And is there a secret to the Christian life? In this lesson, we begin to learn more about the 30 imperatives that Paul writes about that are to define the Christian life. The centerpiece of the Epistle of Colossians is in vs. 6-15. The core of that centerpiece is in vs. 6 and 7 - "walk in Him". We learn that this is both positional and experiential.

Passage: Colossians 3:12-25
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 52 mins 41 secs
Pastor Dean gives us the history of Memorial Day and the importance of its observance.

We see the first of many reports on Pastor Dean’s trip to Israel, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In an overview of the last half of Colossians 3 we understand that to live in the believer’s newness of life we are to live a certain way now that we are His. We learn that we teach and admonish one another through Psalms and hymns. We see how, as we grow, Christians serve in many capacities using spiritual gifts. Most importantly we learn that service to the Lord is what life is all about.

Passage: Romans 16:5-20
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 1 mins 51 secs
It's great to be appreciated and nicer still if we thought people would still be reading high praise of us years later. Listen to this lesson to learn about Paul's commendations in his letter to the Romans. Although little is known about many of these people, there has been much speculation. Heed Paul's warnings about divisive people and allow this lesson to encourage us in our ministry to others
Matthew (2013)

Passage: Matthew 20:17-19 & Matthew 20:27-28
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 51 mins 54 secs
Me first! Notice me! Is that your attitude? Listen to this lesson to hear that Jesus made it plain that if you want to be first, you have to serve others. See how this relates to humility and submission to God’s authority. Hear about four attributes in Philippians 2 that are true and result in regarding others as more important than ourselves. Instead of thinking solely about what we want, focus on obedience to God and the needs of others.
