Colossians (2011)
Sat, Jul 14, 2012
by Robert Dean
Passage: Colossians 3:15
Series: Colossians (2011)
Duration: 51 mins 51 secs
We come to know the will of God through the accumulated wisdom of His Word. God no longer gives special revelation and examples of our set of circumstances may not be in Scripture. Learn the different categories of God’s will with illustrations from Scripture. Peace in this verse is the vertical peace of reconciliation which brings the horizontal peace within the Body of Christ. The real question in every life is, “How can I best serve God with my life?” With that focus, prayer and trust, the will of God is no longer a guessing game.

Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 1 mins 49 secs
What kind of problems have you been facing this week and what did you do about them? Listen to this lesson to see that the first thing Christians should do when they have difficulties is turn to God in prayer to ask for divine guidance. Learn three things we need to keep in mind about God’s guidance in the Old Testament. See that God knows not only what actually happens but what could have happened and what should have happened. See how God gave David direct guidance and today we have the completed Word of God to find answers.

Passage: 2 Samuel 2:1-7
Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 9 mins 24 secs
Are there any decisions that are too small to bother God about? Listen to this lesson to learn that David sought God’s guidance in everything. See the contrast between the wisdom of David and the foolishness of Saul and his followers. Find out that the providential sovereignty of God is always working behind the scenes but never interfering with man’s volition. Find out that we no longer have special revelation but need to rely on the wisdom we find by learning God’s Word and applying it to our lives.
