When you’re under pressure or in difficult times what should you do? Listen to this lesson to learn that it’s a good idea to turn to the book of Psalms in the Scriptures. One important one is Psalm 59, which was written by David and is called a lament psalm. Find out six characteristics of a lament psalm and how God ridicules evil doers. In order to better understand the psalm, it is important to see its context and structure to help us apply the principles to our own life.

Passage: 1 Samuel 22:1 & Psalm 57:1
Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 59 mins 43 secs
Who do you go to when you have a problem? Listen to this lesson to see that God wants us to cry out to Him in times of trouble. See how David called to God for mercy when he was being pursued by his enemies. See that we need to know God’s promises so we can claim them and can present our cases before God. Hear ways that we can learn to be like David and pray about all our needs. In times of trouble relax in God as baby birds rest in the care of their mother's wings.
